Big BWN Project (Pronounced: Big Begawan) was established in May 2015 to create economic opportunities by empowering the local community, youth, entrepreneurs and women with its many national initiatives and campaigns in support of Brunei’s vision of ‘Wawasan 2035’. Over the years, Big BWN has successfully initiated various impact-driven community campaigns from environmental awareness projects to supporting local small businesses and women entrepreneurs, and done over 180 projects nationwide and regionally.

Our mission is to empower and transform communities through youth development, capacity building, digital literacy, and entrepreneurship while promoting environmental awareness and women empowerment. We strive to create a sustainable impact by equipping individuals with the skills, knowledge, and resources they need to thrive in the digital age, become agents of change, and drive positive social, economic, and environmental outcomes, especially to become self-sustainable, and to create a diverse group of people from different fields who support each other to grow their interests and ideas, accompany them through delivering their initiatives and addressing the key challenges affecting the growth of local projects.

Our vision is to create a world where every individual has access to the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive in the digital age, realize their full potential, and drive positive change in their communities. We envision a future where youth are empowered to lead, digital literacy is universal, entrepreneurship is accessible, women are empowered, and environmental sustainability is a core value. Our social enterprise is committed to building a more equitable, just, and sustainable world, one community at a time. Big BWN Project is also the recipient of the 2020 National Youth Excellent Project Award by His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei, the 2021 Commonwealth Points of Light Award by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the Inclusive Business Award 2021 by the ASEAN Business Awards, and the 2022 ASEAN Youth Volunteer Organization Award by the ASEAN Youth Volunteer Forum.
