Ken Ito

Ken Ito is the Executive Director of Social Value Japan, which he founded in 2012 as the Japanese affiliate of Social Value International. With an MBA from Thunderbird in the U.S. and a decade of experience in the private sector, including at GE Capital, Ken has been a key figure in advancing social impact in Japan. He previously led a venture philanthropy fund at Social Venture Partners Tokyo and has been involved in research and teaching at Keio University, where he earned his Ph.D. in 2022. Ken has held advisory roles for the Japanese government on social impact bonds and investment, and since 2022, he is also a certified trainer of SDG Impact Standards.
