su-re.co (Sustainability & Resilience Co.) is a Bali-based social enterprise leading a biogas initiative that transforms organic waste into clean energy and fertilizer for rural communities. We design and implement affordable, user-friendly biogas digesters that reduce emissions, improve health, and cut household energy costs. Our approach combines technology with education through Climate Field Schools, where farmers learn about climate adaptation and sustainable practices before receiving biogas systems. With over 130 digesters installed and 630+ farmers supported, we are scaling a solution that addresses environmental challenges, empowers local livelihoods, and contributes to a cleaner, more resilient future across Indonesia and beyond.
Our biogas digesters provide a sustainable solution for organic waste management and renewable energy production. Through anaerobic digestion, organic waste is broken down to produce biogas for cooking and bio-slurry as fertilizer. This process reduces waste, lowers reliance on traditional fuels, and provides organic fertilizer. Our biogas systems are the most cost-effective, user-friendly, and easy-to-maintain household solution to reduce pollution and manage waste. They offer a more affordable alternative to existing solutions, making clean energy accessible for vulnerable communities. With the ability to track real-time biogas production through a gas meter, users can also monitor their carbon offset from biogas usage. These digesters help create a circular system that supports cleaner energy, sustainable farming, and reduced greenhouse gas emissions, making them an ideal solution for households and farming communities. Supporting SDGs 7, 10, 12, and 13, our biogas digesters contribute to global sustainability goals by promoting affordable, clean energy and mitigate climate change.
